DOMINICAN REPUBLIC – SEPT. 5, 2013 – The Dominican Republic Ministry of Tourism is excited to announce the unveiling of the annually striking 2014 Miami Dolphins Cheerleaders Calendar. In May, Dominican Republic welcomed 24 Miami Dolphins Cheerleaders to the eco-luxury destination of Samaná on the pristine Northeast Coast. Dominican Republic Ministry of Tourism Celebrates the Unveiling of the 2014 Miami Dolphins Cheerleaders Swimsuit Calendar

For the past four years, the Dominican Republic Ministry of Tourism and the Miami Dolphins Cheerleaders have partnered together to shoot the well-known calendar around Dominican Republic’s diverse regions, including eco-friendly Puerto Plata on the North Coast, luxurious Punta Cana on the East Coast and idyllic La Romana on the Southeast Coast. This year, the cheerleaders relished in the Caribbean country’s natural beauty among Samaná’s secluded beaches, deluxe accommodations, Dominican cuisine and enchanting entertainment options.

“We value our special partnership with one of the most recognized NFL cheerleader squads and we’re honored to once again be featured as the tropical backdrop for the 2014 swimsuit calendar,” said Magaly Toribio, Marketing Advisor for the Dominican Republic Ministry of Tourism. “The natural gem of Samaná boasts picturesque scenery, luxurious pampering, secluded golden-sand beaches and diverse offerings that make the Northeast Coast a thriving vacation destination.”

Helen Montijano, Grand Bahia’s VP Sales & Marketing for the U.S., echoed Magaly’s praises and said, “On behalf of Bahia Principe Hotels and Resorts and the staff at the Grand Bahia Principe El Portillo, it was a pleasure to host the Miami Dolphins Cheerleaders in paradise. We thank them for glamorizing the sights and sounds of the incredibly stunning destination of Samaná. From the white-sand beaches, cool azure waters, balmy Caribbean nights, and more, Dominican Republic’s Samaná Peninsula is this and much more.”

The top rated, all-inclusive Grand Bahia Principe El Portillo in nearby Las Terrenas hosted the cheerleaders and provided an authentic and memorable experience. The property offered easy accessibility to Samaná’s unique offerings and was the perfect setting for the cheerleaders’ video recreation of Taylor Swift’s “22,” which has since gone viral.

Fans can follow the cheerleaders’ experiences in Dominican Republic through television specials airing Feb. 1, 2014 on WFOR and Feb. 8, 15 and 22, 2014 on WBFS. “Cheerleader of the Week” web features will run from August 2013 to January 2014, and the swimsuit calendar can be purchased online at www.DolphinsCheerleaders.com.
