Montrealers to be transported to the Dominican Republic for the day as festival sponsored by the Ministry of Tourism of the Dominican Republic opens to the public.
Montreal, October 31, 2016 : On Wednesday November 16th, Montrealers will get the chance to be transported to the Dominican Republic, as the Dominican Food Fest arrives in town featuring food, crafts and music. The one day event, open to the public, will be held at Hotel Omni Mont-Royal, and will feature an exhibition of artisanal Dominican crafts and special lunch menu, prepared by celebrated Dominican chef, Ines Paez Nin, also known as Chef Tita. The young and vibrant Chef Tita has acquired her distinguished reputation for her unique ability to create gourmet dishes out of simple and traditional ingredients.
Cayenart, a well-known Dominican craft and art company led by Yazmin Guerrero, will be showcasing their one-of-a-kind artisanal products. Visitors to the exhibition will have the opportunity to peruse through and purchase Cayenart’s exclusive line of crafts handmade entirely of the highest quality hardwood. Designs are meant to highlight the beauty of Dominican culture including the country’s flora and fauna.

The Hotel Omni Mont-Royal is located on 1050 Rue Sherbrooke O, Montréal, QC. The public is encouraged to visit the hotel in the morning to experience the Dominican craft exhibition, taking place in the hotel’s chic lobby. At noon, both the public and guests of the hotel will be able to enjoy the Dominican inspired lunch. This daylong event, sponsored by the Ministry of Tourism of the Dominican Republic, brings the best of the Dominican Republic to Canadians craving that signature Caribbean flavour.
