The Ministry of Tourism will showcase its varied and complete tourist offer in the Czech Republic

Dominican Republic, Feb. 14, 2017.- The Dominican Republic through the Ministry of Tourism and its Office of Foreign Promotion will participate in Holiday World, one of the main tourism fairs in Central Europe. The 26th edition of the international fair will be held from 16 to 19 of the current month at the Prague Exhibition Grounds Holešovice in the capital city Pagra, Czech Republic.

The Ministry of Tourism will have a stand in the form of a peninsula of 40 m². propitious for a unique glimpse to the destination of the Dominican Republic, where the various attractions of nature, sport, adventure, history, culture and luxury will be promoted; all found around the country. Leila Berquis Boasier, Director of the Office for the Promotion of Foreign Affairs of Eastern Europe, Poland and the Czech Republic, Indira José, Director of the International Promotion Department of MITUR, and other representatives of the Ministry of Tourism of the Dominican Republic will attend this twentieth edition of the fair.

The participation of MITUR is programed to have a strategic presentation of the destination, which will include a striking demonstration of Dominican rhythms through animation based on merengue and bachata on the main stage, as well as tastings of Dominican cocktails like the renowned drink Mamajuana.

Holiday World 2017 will be held next to the Top Gastro & Totel fair and this year’s exhibition will present 634 exhibitors from 45 countries and an expected attendance of more than 26 thousand visitors, consolidating it as one of the most important fairs of the tourist sector of Central Europe and the first ranked in business-to-business activity in the region.
