(Chicago, United States, June 23, 2017).- The offer of Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Events (MICE) of the Dominican Republic was presented in the framework of the World Education Congress of Meeting Professionals International (MPI), held June 19-22 at the MGM, Las Vegas, United States.

The Chicago Promotion Office overseas of the Ministry of Tourism celebrated the congress with a special breakfast for 200 Certified Meeting Professionals (CMP) professionals, the highest accreditation awarded by the Council for Convention Industry and International Meetings. Marianela Pina, Director of the Chicago Office, in coordination with the Department of Congresses and Incentives, and MICE Management for the United States and Canada, presented the varied MICE segment around the country, in addition to a general projection of the country’s attractions in culture, adventure, nature, sports, among others, all complementary offers for the segment of Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Events.

RD World Education CongressThe World Education Congress brought together once again the most important and prominent players in the MICE world, making it an ideal setting to showcase the facilities and characteristics of this segment in the Dominican Republic, with a view to highlight the positive impact this tourism has on the country. Orientation on capacity of event by sub-destination, style and complementary offer, were exposed before the participants.

Tourism of Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Events stands out as a high impact in that it is characterized by providing education and professional development to the local community, creating jobs and retaining the work forces, promoting and supporting other business sectors and Investment, trade, communications and technology.

The World Education Congress is designed to teach meeting and event professionals to think outside the traditional setting. More than 2,000 meeting and event professionals assists the event year to learn how to stop meeting planning and begin designing transformative experiences that provide investment dividends to all stakeholders and participants.
