Dominican Republic, July 21, 2020 – The Dominican Republic Ministry of Tourism (MITUR) announced the launch of the Dominican Republic Travel Resource Center, a virtual platform that provides the most up-to-date information as it relates to COVID-19 and travel to the country, and addresses any concern travelers may have while planning an upcoming vacation to the destination. The innovative tool also provides answers to the most frequently asked questions, a curated selection of the latest tourism news and a live support chat to resolve concerns in real-time.

“Our priority is the health and safety of our visitors, which is why we developed this informative platform that will provide travelers peace of mind to continue on with their travel plans to the country,” explained Magaly Toribio, Marketing Advisor to the Dominican Republic’s Ministry of Tourism. “The pandemic has caused extensive information overload, and this platform serves as a reliable source of information for travelers. Here, future visitors have official information from expert sources as well as the opportunity to ask questions and get answers immediately.”

The Dominican Republic reactivated tourism on July 1st after implementing numerous preventative measures that protect the health of both visitors and locals. These protocols and measures can be found on the Dominican Republic Travel Resource Center.

A live expert is available to assist visitors in real time from Monday to Friday between 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (Dominican Republic time.). Visitors can also submit questions through the contact form and receive responses via email. The DR Travel Resource Center is accessible from the Ministry of Tourism of Dominican Republic’s website www.godominicanrepublic.com, or directly at https://www.drtravelcenter.com.
