Located in Sosúa Bay, this is a suitable dive for all levels, starting in the shallower area of the reef at 12 meters (40 feet), and traversing a tear in the reef formed by the walls of the canyon. From there, you can swim along the wall observing moray eels, lobsters, and huge crabs hiding inside giant barrel sponges. An abundance of groupers, barracudas, yellowtail snappers, spider crabs, anemones, shrimp, nudibranchs, toadfish, and beautiful flamingo tongue snails can also be spotted here.

Airport Wall

A favorite of the area, the Airport Wall is considered one of the best and most beautiful dive sites in the DR. Beginning at about 10 meters (33 feet) and dropping to almost 30 meters (98 feet), it is one of the richest sites in coral and marine life, with pinnacles and tunnels.

Five large coral rocks spread out over a large area of about 100 meters (328 feet), for an ideal beginner dive site. The reef starts at about five meters (16 feet), and its deepest point falls to nearly 24 meters (79 feet).

Larimar I & Larimar II

Advanced divers explore a small wall covered with soft corals starting at 16 meters (52 feet) and descending to 32 meters (105 feet). Numerous critters reside here, including moray eels, trumpet fish, lionfish, crabs, and octopuses.

Little Point

“La Puntilla” consists of four boulders that collapsed and created a formation of passages, including caves, where beginner divers can swim through alongside barracudas and seahorses. Ideal beginner depths of 12 meters (39 feet).

Mini Wall

Also known as “Calle Sin Salida,” coral pinnacles lie in a labyrinth between patches of sand, where you’ll see barracudas, moray eels, and squid. The slight slope descends to 30 meters (98 feet) with an average depth of 15 meters (49 feet).

Punta Rucia

A paradise for snorkeling fans, this area boasts some of the most abundant marine life in DR, with corals and sponges that surround the cay, including schools of surgeonfish, sergeant majors, damselfish, angelfish, and yellowtail snappers swimming around your feet.

Suitable for divers of all levels, the shallow Pyramids site–at 18 meters (59 feet)–is a drift dive around large rocks and pebbles that fell into the sea, creating many cracks and passages for visitors to explore its colorful corals.
